What health conditions are treatable at Heart Lake Health Centre’s walk-in clinic?
Our walk-in clinic offers acute non-emergency services for medical conditions such as the flu, common cold, fever, minor cuts and injuries, joint paint, and other pain. Family medical services include physical exams, immunization, screening tests, injury assessment, and preventative care assessment and testing.
Does the clinic offer any specialized services, such as lab testing or x-rays?
We have a laboratory for blood work testing, TB testing, urine testing, and strep throat testing. Our clinic offers services for stitches removal, wound dressings, allergy shots, and IM injections.

What type of services are offered?
At our walk-in clinic in Brampton, services include flu shots, vaccinations, and treatment for minor abdominal issues, minor infections, sexual health issues, and medical services for non-Canadian citizens.
What are the walk-in clinic hours?
Our walk-in clinic for Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon residents is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

What should I carry with me?
Please bring along your Ontario health card (OHIP), any doctor referral forms you may have, and a list of prescription medications you are currently taking.
What if I need a follow-up after my first visit?
We offer appointments for any follow-up appointments required from your initial visit.
Do I have to make an appointment to see a doctor at the Heart Lake Health Centre walk-in clinic?
No, there is no appointment required at our walk-in clinic.
Are there any age restrictions for patients at the clinic?
As a family walk-in clinic, there are no age restrictions.
Insurance Coverage
What services not covered under OHIP are treated at Heart Lake Health Centre’s walk-in clinic?
We offer a variety of services that are not covered under the OHIP plan such as medical forms for work or school and medical record transfers. Immunizations for travel, school, and work commitments are also available at our clinic. Medical services for minor skin procedures include wart cryotherapy, use of liquid nitrogen, seborrheic keratosis, skin tag removals, and removal of sutures are also provided.
I don't have an OHIP card, will the doctor still see me?
As a leading walk-in clinic for Caledon, Mississauga, and Brampton, we offer medical services with or without a valid OHIP card.
International Patients
Can international travelers, students, or tourists directly use the clinic?
Yes, our clinic is open to everyone. If you do not have a registered insurance plan, service is available for a fee.
Urgent/Emergency Care
What if I get there and learn that I need urgent care?
Our family medical centre in Brampton offers assessment services that if deemed to require emergency care, a referral for the local emergency room will be provided.
